ECHA Publishes New Advice on Dose Levels in Toxicity Testing
ECHA recently published some new advice to guide companies to use the correct dose level for their toxicity tests. According to ECHA’s Director for Hazard Assessment, Mike Rasenberg, using the correct dose level will ensure more reliable test results and avoid having to redo inconclusive tests and cause animals more unnecessary suffering.
⚠️As clarified in the amended REACH Annexes, effective January 2022, companies are expected to choose the correct substance dose for their toxicity tests to determine whether the chemical is safe to use.
