Consultation on Draft Commission Regulation Introducing New CLP Hazard Classes

On September 20th, 2022, the European Commission published a Draft Commission Delegated Regulation amending Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) for the purpose of inserting new hazard classes and their criteria.

The draft amendment identifies a need to introduce the following hazard classes:

– Presumed (Cat 1.) and Suspected (Cat.2) Endocrine disruptors (ED)
– Persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic (PBT)
– Very persistent and very bioaccumulative (vPvB),
– Persistent, mobile and toxic (PMT)
– Very persistent and very mobile (vPvM)

ℹ️ The final adoption of the delegated regulation is expected by the end of 2022.
