New Guidance Document Available

A new guidance document on the Formaldehyde Emissions from Composite Wood Products Regulations was released on August 12, 2022. This guidance serves as an introduction to the Formaldehyde Emissions from Composite Wood Products Regulations, which were created under the authority of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999.

This document follows the regulation of the same name, published on July 7, 2021. It helps reduce the exposure to formaldehyde emissions in indoor air from composite wood products in Canada, and imposes limits to formaldehyde emissions along with record keeping, labelling, and reporting requirements.
