SCIP Notifications in EEA Countries

 ECHA announces the obligation to submit notifications to the SCIP database has now been extended to also cover companies supplying articles in the European Economic Area (EEA). Since November 7th, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway have been allowed to submit notifications on their products containing SVHCs.

SCIP is the database for information on Substances of Concern In articles as such or in complex objects (Products) established under the Waste Framework Directive (WFD).

EU companies have been obligated to submit SCIP notifications since January 2021. The database now includes 8.7 million searchable article notifications, from over 8600 companies.
